Call for Inspirational Ideas

Call

Apart from the traditional calls of the ICMC conferences (papers, music,..) the ICMC2005 team together with the S2S² project is proposing another way of actively participate and interact in the conference. The basic idea is to have a venue where researchers or composers can throw a preliminary idea on any aspect related to computer music and where other people can react to them and give some feed back. The ideas can be musical, technical, scientific, theoretical, practical, .... the only restriction is that they have to be original and inspired; no proofs, results, or developed systems are required. Thus we issue this Call for Inspirational Ideas.

The proposals will be reviewed by a panel. The authors will have a 5 min presentation time in a free-spirited discussion forum inside the ICMC05 activities. The accepted proposals will be printed as handouts during the venue. After the conference, a book will be published containing the papers and a summary of the discussion. This book will also be available online through the S2S² website.

Submission Information

There is no specific format or template for this call, we encourage original and interesting usage of the one-page format (see below).

Proposed and final papers must be submitted through the website. We cannot accept printed papers via postal mail.

Deadlines

Papers must be submitted online by Monday, May 23rd, 2005.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance or rejection of the paper by June 15th, 2005.
